Couple Welcomes Quadruplets Months After Adopting 4 Siblings From Foster Care, and They Are Now Parents to Nine Kids

In December 2019, Maxine and Jake Young, already parents to their biological son Henry, made the heartwarming decision to adopt four siblings they had been fostering for years.

Their journey to expanding their family didn’t stop there. Determined to fulfill Maxine’s dream of having a large and loving family, the couple decided to try for another child. Little did they know, they were in for a delightful surprise when Maxine became pregnant with quadruplets, turning their family of six into a bustling household of 11.

Maxine and Jake’s story, shared on their YouTube channel, The Family Young Vlogs, is one of love, perseverance, and unexpected blessings.

According to a GoFundMe page initiated by Jake’s mother, Arlette Young, Maxine and Jake tied the knot in May 2016 with dreams of starting a family right away. Maxine’s passion for foster parenting and her desire for a big family resonated deeply with Jake, who eagerly embraced the idea of a home filled with laughter and love, albeit with a touch of chaos.

Their journey began with fostering three siblings in July 2017, followed shortly by the addition of a fourth sibling a month later—a newborn baby girl. Despite their growing family through fostering, Maxine and Jake longed for a biological child. Their path to parenthood was marked by numerous challenges, including miscarriages, chemical pregnancies, IVF, and IUI treatments. Finally, in October 2018, they were blessed with their son, Henry.

Just a year after Henry’s arrival, the couple officially adopted the four siblings they had been fostering, marking a joyous milestone in their journey.

However, their family dynamic underwent another incredible transformation when Maxine discovered she was pregnant again, this time with quadruplets, shortly after finalizing the adoption. The news took them by surprise, especially since they hadn’t relied on IVF or IUI treatments this time.

On July 31, Maxine gave birth to four beautiful babies—Silas Ledger, Theo Alexander, Beck Killian, and Cecilia Hudson—each weighing between three and four pounds. Although they spent some time in the NICU, two of the babies have already been able to go home.

“It’s been a whirlwind,” Jake remarked. “Meeting the babies was an indescribable moment. All the struggles of the past few months faded away, and everything we’ve been through felt worth it.”

“Thankfully, they’re all thriving, and we’re incredibly grateful,” Maxine added.

Their story is a testament to the boundless love and resilience of families, showcasing the beauty of adoption and the unexpected joys that life can bring.
